MealTime Applications was developed to help school districts streamline and automate the complicated and time-consuming Free and Reduced Application process. Using MealTime/Apps’ simple entry screens, you can quickly and easily process family and individual applications. Schools can customize screens to better fit the needs of their school district, and can import the majority of your students’ information into MealTime/Apps from your district’s student record system, which further reduces the need for data entry and minimizes the chance of errors.
Based on the information you enter or import, MealTime Applications determines each student’s Free/Reduced eligibility status. MealTime/Apps then chooses the appropriate letters to send home, in English or Spanish, which can be printed immediately or queued to print at a later time. Using your school district’s network, MealTime Applications then automatically sends the new or updated student information to the MealTimel Point Of Sale program at the school where each student attends. Because of this seamless integration, the district office can manage the whole application process centrally, while keeping the individual schools’ data current, in real time.
MealTime Applications also streamlines the verification process by selecting the applications for you using any of the approved methods, (including random and focused) as well as specific applications or all of them. MealTime Applications prints appropriate letters needed for the verification process in both English and Spanish, as well as any other language you wish to create templates for. In this way, MealTime Applications simplifies the application and verification processes, while at the same time provides you with a complete audit trail of both processes.
